RE: Campground suggestion near I95, mid state North Carolina
I would suggest Jordan Lake in Apex, NC. This is just outside Raleigh, and is about 20 to 30 minutes from I 40 (I assume you are taking I 95 to I 40 to get to Myrtle Beach) It is a NC State Park but the camp sites are nice, wooded, and some sit right on the lake, we have been able to fish right from the camp site! One bad point is that they don't take reservations for one night stays. Here is the link to their website to tell you more about the campground. http://www.ncparks.gov/Visit/parks/jord/directions.php
We have stayed at Poplar Point. The showers leave something to be desired, but for a one night stay are do-able! Good Luck!
Buying new TT, need advice
We are looking to buy a new TT (daughter says the one that we have was made in the 18th century!, she is close!) We are looking at the Forest River Flagstaff model 228. Has anyone used one of these before? If so what were your experiences?
The vehicle that we will be using to tow the TT is a Chrysler Town and Country, so we are quite limited by the amount of weight that we can tow. Aroung 2000 pounds. We are planning on installing a transmission line cooler, to enable us to tow a bit more efficiently.
Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
